Hi Peter, Many thanks for the information. Changing the setting to 'Only if required' has stopped the OVR from being created, but it still creates the GHX file. A couple of further questions arise from this: What determines when the creation is 'required' - it's a bit vague as to the criteria ...

Good morning, Is there a way to prevent MapInfo 2023 from creating the .OVR raster pyramid files? Thanks Darren ------------------------------ Darren White ICT Officer Derbyshire County Council MATLOCK ------------------------------

Hi Thomas, The MBX file is also in the UT folder in Program Files. If that is not present on your machine I can only suggest reinstalling MapInfo. Regards Darren ------------------------------ Darren White ICT Officer Derbyshire County Council MATLOCK ------------------------------

Hi Thomas, If you enable the Tool Extensions in MapInfo you'll see it in the list of running tools, just double-click the item to open the translator. Alternatively, you can create a shortcut to the 'fmequicktranslator.exe' executable located in C:\Program Files\MapInfo\Professional\UT That way ...

Hi Caleb, Are any required permissions set up on the new tile layer you have created? Also, checking the Spectrum log file sometimes helps. Regards Darren ------------------------------ Darren White ICT Officer Derbyshire County Council MATLOCK ------------------------------

Hi Bob, The lack of the filter being refreshed is the crux of the issue. From a users perspective, anything that is set in the layer properties dialog is usually instantly reflected on the layer, so it would be reasonable to expect the filter to work in the same way. The only hint it behaves differently ...

Hi Bill, The updated tool still misbehaves a bit.  On selecting remove the legend from the current window, it behaves as before i.e., the legend reappears when zooming or panning. When selecting remove from all windows it does disappear permanently, but only for that session, when MapInfo is ...

We have just moved from v17 to v2021.1 and have experienced this. In our case it appears to be related to the Sync Windows tool, as having it loaded causes the legend to appear, even when not actually syncing. This tool also has embedded legend controls similar to those in the Legend Manager Tool, which ...

Apologies Nick, my misunderstanding.  Those settings appear to be stored in the users profile in an XML file that is created the first time the Web Services are opened, and seems to persist until MapInfo is closed.  Think it would need a button adding to re-evaluate, which would be useful. ------ ...

Hi Ryan, I would be interested in the outcome please as we are about to deploy v2021 b197 to our 140 users. I'm also curious whether the insert tools on the Map tab are greyed out too as these don't have the MapCAD additions. Regards Darren ------------------------------ Darren White Derbyshire ...

When making a database object mappable using MapInfo it writes the number of rows to the Mapcatalog table.  As these tables are volatile this is causing any new records subsequently added to not be displayed. Easyloader doesn't write the number of rows when uploading via that. The only work-around ...

We've noticed the same thing in the latest version too, possibly due to the side panels having a minimum width.   We're also finding that any long pieces of text in a custom template are 'word wrapped' and splits text half-way through words, no matter how I set the justification: Forty percent ...

Hi Mike, Further to Neena's response above, you will need to ensure the node in your original highway network that you are connecting your new road to is a start / end node. If you connect the new road to a node that is not a start or end node then RouteFinder won't be able to route using the junction. ...

Can someone advise if it is still possible to capture the on-click coordinates from Analyst? In version 12.1 we have templates that use the captured coordinates to populate web forms and query URL's.  For this I used the (coord.x) & ( coord.y) function. Is there an equivalent in 2018.2? ...
