Upon further brute-force table wrangling we found the problem to be a column named "Update" We started deleting columns until we found the one causing the error. Then tried changing the content of the column. Then changed the column name. When we change that column name to anything else it works ...

We're running into an unusual error when attempting to export a table in MapInfo Pro 2021, and when we try the same export with v. 2019 it seems to work without issue. The file is in NATIVEX format and we have tried exporting to various formats (TAB, XTAB, SHP, CSV) and each time the error is thrown. ...

Hi Peter, Thankyou, this was exactly the information we were looking for. For the Index created on column CODE, is that an attribution index or spatial index? Anthony ------------------------------ Anthony Puckett Pitney Bowes White River Junction VT ------------------------------

Greetings Mapinfo Pro's Our team has inherited a production process which makes use of a "manual" cleaning step within Mapinfo via a Mapbasic script. We're not sure if running that script is necessary or not. Our hope is that we could eliminate this manual step from our process as this breaks the tidy ...

Hi Peter, Thanks so much for the response. I've finally had an opportunity to experiment with Ctrl+Click, which I did not know existed! I must say it is working quite well for the task of selecting a greater number of nodes around a polygon. Problem solved. Cheers, Anthony ------------------------------ ...

Hello, When I need to move or delete a large number of nodes on a polygon I use shift+select, but this can be imprecise and time consuming.  Is there a way to lasso select a number of nodes for modification?  This would be very helpful. Thanks, Anthony ------------------------------ Anthony ...

Very interesting, Joe.  I just recently watched a video on Japan's obsession with vending machines. One in particular uses facial recognition, time of day, outside temperature and other factors to determine recommended beverage offerings for each customer. FFWD to minute mark 4:22 for that bit. ...

I'm a history buff, so when I began exploring the Property Attribute dataset to use as a resource for one of our products, I joined the "Year Built" column to some parcels for a few locals.  I categorized the Year Built column assigning shades of blue to each parcel based on how old the house was. From ...
