We're running into an unusual error when attempting to export a table in MapInfo Pro 2021, and when we try the same export with v. 2019 it seems to work without issue.

The file is in NATIVEX format and we have tried exporting to various formats (TAB, XTAB, SHP, CSV) and each time the error is thrown. But again, no error thrown when doing the same export with MapInfo 2019.  Any ideas?

    Here is the error:

Upon further brute-force table wrangling we found the problem to be a column named "Update"

We started deleting columns until we found the one causing the error. Then tried changing the content of the column. Then changed the column name.

When we change that column name to anything else it works fine.

Maybe a bug in the EFAL driver? That's the only common software between MI Pro and GDAL

Maybe Update is a reserved word?

Yes, most likely. It can be either GDAL or EFAL which doesn't like it. A field called "Table", "Date" and similar could also give problems depending upon the software accessing the table.
