Hi Peter, Thanks for your comments and apologies for the delay in replying.  I think the main issue is whether it is necessary for every user to have their own copy of the default tools. This is a recent change isn't it? I assume this is to allow them to be updated independently of MapInfo? ...

I dont recall any noticeable differences in printing between those versions. ?Are you sure its not just that you have Enhanced Rendering and transparency switched on in 15 which will cause the output to be rasterised (and thicker lines)?
