    Hey Amy,
There are few ways you can work with Item texts (Long Texts).

    1. You could use the Winshuttle "Add Long Texts" option but at this time, the tcodes for VL01N/VL02N are not supported with this option. You can however make a feature request to add these in the next releases.
See supported options here - https://docs.winshuttle.com/studio-en-20-2-online-help-studio-with-connect/Record-long-text.htm?tocpath=Studio%2020.2%20Online%20Help%7CTransaction%7CMap%20Fields%7CAdd%20Long%20Text%7C_____1#Add

    2. You can record these texts in the old way and map them to your script. you can read as well as insert/update texts using this.

There is a detailed recorded training (WUGINAR) that shows all different ways of working with Long texts in SAP.  Please watch it and let us know if that helped.

    Hi Jayasri,

Thank you for coming back to me with the few ways to work with long texts.

The batch input method has allowed me to map the long texts I needed on delivery header and item now, however there is a problem I am facing when trying to run my script for multiple deliveries and it is only occurring after the first transaction has run successfully. The screen is the same in the subsequent transaction so that element remains okay but I am encountering a 'Function cannot be selected' error (Message No. 00255) only on my second transaction. Attached is a copy of the script and highlighted steps where only on the second transaction my script fails. I have tried adding additional OK/ENTER codes to get around this issue but all attempts are failing. I am at a loss with how to proceed.
Your further feedback would be appreciated.

    Hi Amy,
    Few guesses:
    1. Try double checking your screen numbers for the problem scenario. It may be flowing to a different screen that does not have that particular OK code. Some screens in SAP look very similar but open the Technical information to verify the technical screen number.

    2. You could play with settings like Start SAPGUI Or the Renew the session after each line. (Default is 0 = not renewed)

If you are not making any more progress, I suggest creating a Support ticket for a much faster diagnosis and path to resolution.
    Thanks
    Jayasri

Hi, thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately the issue could not be solved without executing the recording in GUI Scripting mode only as some of the screens were not being recognized. Appears this may have solved my issue but I am still testing before I can confirm.
    Thanks again
