  • 1.  QUery - Data Chunk Setting

    Hello,

    I'm trying to find a systematic setting that will allow non-developers (Professional/Standard) users to uncheck the data chunks box, or change the data chunk value. Seems only a Developer is able to change these settings. I have users with scheduled queries which are failing b/c of the data chunking. When data chunking is unchecked, the queries execute fine. I have tried unchecking the box and republishing, however the published version always shows checked with a value. I have checked both Studio and Foundation settings and cannot find any way to change this.

    To maybe add mud to this, this was not an issue prior to the company moving SAP to the cloud (AWS). 

    Is there a way non-developer licensed users are able to disable/change data chunk settings in Studio?

    I looked in the settings and documentation and cannot find any setting that allows non-developers to change chunking settings. These are determined by the developer and this behavior is probably well-designed if it works as intended. What is bothersome is that when you uncheck Data Chunks and republish, it does not seem to stick and that smells like a bug. Have you opened a support ticket?

    Hi Jayasri,

    Thank you for the info. I have not submitted a ticket with support as we are on Foundation. So, if it's a bug, given that support is dwindling down due to the product going end of life, I imagine there isn't a fix. I appreciate you digging in and confirming that only a developer can adjust this setting.
