Potential Solution 1: Configure SAP Connect to use the SMTP server to send emails to external addresses.

So, we could potentially chain the PO creation script and follow it up with a script of the Tcode MDM2 (Mail to Vendor) which can place the email message with PO number in SAP's queue for processing.
