    Hi all
    My name is Henrik Axell and I have been working with Winshuttle for 2 years now and I am working cross domain with Vendor, customer and materials but main area is materials.

    We use the tool mainly for governance-process to keep all our processes streamlined and we combine some of our processes with RPA-technology.
    We use composer solutions mainly but also run transaction-scripts to replace LSMW.

    I really like this idea of having an open forum to share knowledge, issues and normal networking :-)

    I work in the greater Atlanta area in the information technology space.  SAP ECC  FICO (and FICA) and now Oracle is my background.  I am a Sr Business Analyst  and WS is an integral part of process enhancement, problem resolution and project implementations (data conversion).

    My name is Erkan Kopuz, working with Winshuttle for over 7 years (probably around 9 or 10 years). Since I've seen Winshuttle from the beginning they have grown to a very great product. I use the tool for ETL purposes and to support our data governance model with Winshuttle foundation. I am working as an application engineer and Winshuttle makes my job very easy. The foundation tool, where you are able to create forms, is very easy to use and also for advanced users where you are able to create own custom forms with java, HTML and CSS.
    At the moment we use the forms to create and change materials, vendors and customers. Within the material, not only the material is being created, but the material is extended to multiple plants and the purchase info record, sourcelist, material determination, batch search strategy, packaging instructions, control cycles, additional storage locations, prices (pricelists) and bill of material is created if applicable (all within a minute!). With this we have been able to reduce the number of fields what the user needs to enter if they have to create these data objects manually and obviously this saves to many time. The duration of the creation of the material went from an average of 8 to 10 weeks to a maximum of 8 days. To me it is a continuous process of making improvements to your business processes and Winshuttle forms. Above is what we currently have, but there many more improvements in the pipeline.
    Also we are in transition to replace all LSMW with Winshuttle scripts/templates. Using sharepoint we are able to create a site of templates where the business is able to download these templates. Working like this gives you a nice overview and full control of the available scripts and templates, without having to worry users are changes scripts of templates.

    ​Hi folks, I'm Douglas from Dwr Cymru Welsh Water and I've been working with SAP since 2003 and doing mass uploads using various means (including LSMW) since at least 2006. We've been using Winshuttle Studio for just under a year now, (received the training in October 2017). Our team mainly deals with plant maintenance and we've found Winshuttle to be a useful tool in both transaction and query aspects of Winshuttle Studio.

    The query part of Studio is particularly good, I've had access to SE16 for years but it's not the most user friendly and a bit cumbersome. One of the things I particular like about it is the ability to use it to help analyse what's going on in the SAP system. There's a long standing issue that we've had on-going for a year now, and it's only thanks to Query that I've been able to establish exactly what's happening. Sure you can essentially do the same thing with SE16 but Winshuttle Studio just makes it far easier.

    The one gripe I have with Winshuttle Studio is the fact we're unable to do a mixed Transaction/Query chain script, it's either a transaction only chain script or query only chain script. Adding the ability to do both in the same chain script would make the chain scripts just so much better.

    My name is Douwe Engels and im using WinStudio now for approxomately 6 months Eriks, a company in which we manage 5 million records. My tasks are mass changes in the products anf finance area and the periodic controls of products in SAP. Im trying to pick up and learn as much as possible. This summer we stepped over from "Connect" to "Foundation" and this gave some minor problems and there arent any colleagues available to help me out with that so really like the idea of helping (if possible) get some help of some colleagues of another company!

    I've been using Winshuttle (WS) for approx. 4 years and every day I learn something new about this tool.  I develop/create and maintain 25 composer solutions with more new solution requests on the horizon. 

    We currently have solutions for everything from Plant and Material creation and extensions to Authorization for Expenditure (AFE's) and FICO forms such as GL, Cost Centers and Profit Centers.  We use WS Query fairly often and we have WS Transaction, but its not used as much.  Personally, I struggle with Query (I don't really use Transaction myself) so I'm always open to any training or expertise anyone has!!!

    Been using WS for about 6 months for a PRA implementation. All scripts thus far have been transaction scripts but looking to expand into query for DO as well as expand into other business areas.
    My favorite discovery for WS thus far is the excel nested scripts feature. This allows our team to seamlessly switch between scripts in a predefined list and all scripts are linked back to the foundation server for execution.

    My name is Aryan van der Louw work preparator at Shin-Etsu PVC B.V..

    We have been using SAP since 2003 were it was hastely introduced (in a few months time) becouse our ERP system stopped beeing supported.
    This means data was lost or was uploaded missing data and this needs to be fixed and we intend to use Winshuttle for updating.

    My primary workplace in SAP is the PM module.
    Currently working on the Maintenance planning (IP41)
    Cleaning up PM orders ect.
    Changing and adding equipment data in SAP.

    I usually do not get allot of hands on time with Winshuttle so I tend to scour the net for al the info. I need to automate a transaction.

    I'm Nadezda Goncharyuk from Russia / St. Petersburg, and I have been working in retail. i work with SAP for 4 years and I'm working with Winshuttle approximaly for 2years and WS Studio 11.4 ( 32 bit) since the spring of this year.

    I'm creating and changes master data for materials and other areas: vendors, customers, planning, inforecords, material groups. I create scripts and upload data. I'm trying to learn and try to do something new.

    Obviously, Winshuttle is a very useful and convenient tool for mass changes in SAP (downloading Excel spreadsheets, speed of load), we were able to improve the efficiency and correctness of the master data.

    I often use Winshuttle Transaction, but to control SAP data I prefer to use SQVI, I didn't study well the Winshuttle Query and now, it seems to me, it is more limited in use, but maybe I'm wrong and the reason is my lack of knowledge in Winshuttle

    I would like to learn how we can download and receive data from tables that are not supported in JOIN.

    A great idea to help in the work, communicate directly with colleagues. I will be glad if my knowledge will be useful for someone.

    I am looking forward to participating in this community. I have no formal training in Winshuttle, and I am interested in learning more about the capabilities of Winshuttle as well as tips and tricks for utilizing the product efficiently.

    Hi there.  Think the idea of an online Winshuttle community is a great idea!

    I work for DXC Technology (a merger of CSC and the IT services arm of Hewlett Packard) as an IT Business Consultant.

    A large part of that role is using Transaction to develop new scripts to resolve Production issues, amend existing data or implement new master data and transactional data upload processes. We've used Transaction for a number of data migration projects too. Frequently use Excel VBA to help with the automation of data transformation to bridge the gap between user requirements and Winshuttle scripts. 

    Not sure how long I've been using Winshuttle for, but was originally started using TxShuttle in around 2002 and not sure when Winshuttle merged with ADAR, but it's been a while!

    Hi Irina - MB1B can be scripted.  That movement type (311) in my system is between storage locations.  Here are the steps to follow

    (1) Enter all of the information on the first screen, including dates, movement type, etc. and hit enter
    (2) enter the storage location on the screen for the material movements and hit enter
    (3) click the insert button and on line 1, type in the material number and quantity to move between storage locations
    (4) hit enter

    Once the recording is complete, put a loop around around the insert button and material & quantity inputs.

    I'm attaching a simple example I built in Studio 11.2.

    Hi, My name is Wendy Wakefield and I work for Pratt Industries, Inc. as the SAP Master Data Services Administrator and manage and maintain both the Vendor and Materials Masters for all of our sites.  We have been using Winshuttle Studio for 3 years, but only in a very basic way for extending and mass changes to vendor records and inputting & changing new Material Master and Info Records.

    We are hoping to start learning and utilizing query and linking scripts but like most companies, trying to find the time in our busy schedules is holding up the progress.

We use it primarily for Material Master maintenance (we utilize PS at our site and PP at other sites) and I'm looking to expand it's usage to other areas/internal projects such as BoM maintenance, projects (sales orders, networks, etc) and manufacturing.

    Like others, I've never been formally trained on WinShuttle usage. Mostly self taught. It's nice to know there's a resource for questions and collaboration.

    My name is Vanessa from IDEXX. I have been Developing scripts/queries since early 2016. I started with 10.7 desktop version and am currently using Studio v12. We just completed the install of Foundation and are in the process of the e-learning and soon to be going through onsite training. IDEXX brought Winshuttle in for material master purposes but we have grown to include pricing and well, many other processes across all lines of business. Bringing in Foundation has created a new role for me as the Winshuttle Administrator for IDEXX. I am excited to learn Foundation and all it can do. I can very easily lose myself while building scripts/queries. I think I have found my happy place. If any of you have tips/tricks for someone new to Foundation/Composer, I welcome them with open arms.

    I am an Australian living in the UK, working for Transport for London.  I've been using Winshuttle for about 3 years now.  I mainly work in Finance, but have also written scripts for Procurement and HR.  I mostly control execution of Winshuttle with VBA scripts.
