As far as I'm aware NPP shouldn't add (or remove) a BOM unless this is requested by the user, ie the encoding of a file that already exists is preserved. New files created in NPP default to UTF-8 without BOM, but this can be adjusted in the settings. What is the nature of the corruption Martin? How ...
