Not sure if this will help you @Drew Jarvis? but maybe you could play around in the options menu under the printer or output settings? You can find it by clicking the blue Pro tab at the top left of MapInfo. Then go to Options   Conversely, we export all of our maps as a .png file & print in a ...

Thanks @Hakan Karlsson?  Is the concurrency level automatically set to full out of the box? I saw mine was already on the full setting when I looked into the performance tab.

I’d be curious to know if there is a centralized location from PB with different map base layers available. itd be cool to share what we’ve designed with the community.

Put it in the palm of their hands Give them every reason to use it because it is so simple. Make GIS work with their iPad. Enable them to log onto their web platform & quickly bang out analysis while hosting a webinar. Be the crutch that they lean on that adds value & credibility to your company. Never ...

In my experience, accurate data instills greater confidence in those who do not speak GIS. So check & double check before releasing any maps or reports. The more often people are second guessing the GIS department, the less likely they are to have confidence in us!

Aside from basic manipulation, we havent had to dive very deep into raster data. Our PB partner is always there to help massage our data when the need arises. Maybe we should learn more about it!

We have traditionally deployed within a server based environment as it allows instant hands on control of our digital assets. However, moving forward were going to look into moving to cloud based solutions to alleviate some of the pain that comes with purchasing costly hosting infrastructure. Our ...

GIS is excellent for identifying holes in the market within these progressive smart cities. It can be used to determine so many vital metrics like are there adequate medical services to an area, do residents have adequate access to food & transportation? But moving forward, the collection of data from ...

I think our GIS tools will be used more & more to map out consumers digital behavior. Be it cell phone use, fitness trackers, in car GPS data, or app data like Snapchat locations. Going forward, I think it will become imperative for providers to integrate fluidly with providers of this type of data. ...

Excellent suggestions. Do you feel that less is more with the gut feeling types? Perhaps a few thematic maps up front in lieu of jumping directly to hard numbers? Ive typically had them work the numbers with me & they generally come along for the ride once they see the light, but we do have some internal ...

Our largest hurdle seems to be working with people who would rather make decisions based off of their gut opinion of an area, instead of relying upon a data & analytical approach. So to sum it up, our biggest challenge is validating our results to skeptics both internally & externally. Another hurdle ...
