While this particular item might not be dependent on the Spatial Server patch, other code running in the patch would depend on changes at the Spatial server end. I have seen cases where the spectrum log file logs errors as it is scanning a folder but I have not seen an actual error that showed up in the mapuploader or creating the named table in Spatial.  ...

At one time the system had a built in "guest" user account and I am guessing when they removed that as a "security hole" they probably left that user buried in there to prevent misuse. The removing of the label settings when saving the project from project settings has definitely been ​recognized as a bug.
