According to my sources,  email communications went out yesterday containing the links for both s12 and s13 for Windows, Linux and a separate one for just release notes. Release notes are included in the code patches. ------------------------------ Eric Blasenheim Spectrum Spatial Technical Product ...

While this particular item might not be dependent on the Spatial Server patch, other code running in the patch would depend on changes at the Spatial server end. So make sure to apply both s12 and s13.  The  unified customer communication was supposed to go out last week and referenced both patches. ...

I just tried this and after messing around, I did reproduce something here.  I use the uploader from a client machine. That is, not from MapInfo Pro installed on the server, where it might not be. Mostly I do this because I want to make sure that this mode is working. Many of our customers are on Linux ...

George, If the .tab file used in MapInfo Pro is not there you get no error? If so where do you see this error? I have seen cases where the spectrum log file logs errors as it is scanning a folder but I have not seen an actual error that showed up in the mapuploader or creating the named table in Spatial.  ...

Ott, Sorry for the delay in the response.  Using the feature service allows you to describe a geometry as input in a number of different ways one of which is WKT. For a point, you can use the MI_Point function like this: select Country,Capital from "/Samples/NamedTables/WorldTable" where MI_Point(-100, ...

To be clear, you edit the connection in Spatial Manager and not on the file system. The Spatial manager has a user interface for doing this. ------------------------------ Eric Blasenheim Spectrum Spatial Technical Product Manager Troy, NY ------------------------------

Fiona, When you ran the installer, it should have updated a file called a "connection" to point to where you installed the data files. When the connection file ships, it has this string in it as we don't yet know where you are going to put the data.  In Spatial Manager, I would look for the connection ...

I would not use the user "guest". At one time the system had a built in "guest" user account and I am guessing when they removed that as a "security hole" they probably left that user buried in there to prevent misuse. That is just a guess (not guest :) on my part but I got the same error trying to create ...

The documentation is here: http://support.pb.com/help/spectrum/19.1/en/webhelp/Spatial/index.html#Spatial/source/Security/analyst/analyst_guest_access.html  The basic idea is that you enable guest (internally called anonymous) access and then provide a Spectrum role name (defaults to AnalystGuestRole) ...

You can launch the map with the name of a project, a map center and zoom as well as a number of other parameters. For example, /connect/analyst/mobile/#/main?mapcfg=%2FAnalyst%2FNamedProjects%2Fdefault&lat=40&lon=-100&zoom=12 A complete list is here: http://support.pb.com/help/spectrum/19.1/ ...

The removing of the label settings when saving the project from project settings has definitely been recognized as a bug. So far as I know, saving from the map view works ok but make sure you refresh the map so that you can see if any settings were lost, reset them and save from the map. I don't have ...

Here's what is happening. (short version).  When you installed Spectrum, there were checkboxes for various modules. It looks like you did not check the Spectrum Spatial and Routing checking or if you did, it failed to install. That is why on the welcome page, it says it is not installed. The part ...

On that welcome page, there are "vertical tabs" or selectors or you can click on the part of the page that says "Spectrum Spatial" . On that Spectrum Spatial page, there are horizontal tabs called "Spatial Services", "Utilities" and 3 more. Click the Utilities tab and the first option should be a ...

Nick, what is the status of Spatial Manager? What you are showing here is the install of the Analyst application and when it tests for Spectrum Spatial, something is not OK.  You say Spectrum is ok because of log files. So I assume you can launch the Spectrum Welcome page (generally host:8080 assuming ...

The connection should point to the folder where the NSW data tables are. Not above it. The named tables for the _basemaps use ..\..\_basemaps in their path. ------------------------------ Eric Blasenheim Spectrum Spatial Technical Product Manager Troy, NY ------------------------------

Mr. Corea, I just went and installed NSW StreetPro from March and did what I indicated and all worked after filling in the connection path. The critical piece seems to be putting in the path up to but not below "_spectrumspatial" as I indicated.  This is because all the named resource XML files are ...

Mr. Corea, Sorry for these problems. I am not following completely. You mentioned that you were given the MWS file but I assume you did not try to use that. That's good. The path on the import does look strange though: "spectruitneybowesdata" gI think that is supposed to say: "spectrum\pitneybowesdata" ...

Yes Ott thanks for checking that. I was checking that as well. It seems that any project change from the settings page disables the labels. I will amend that in my report. To work around this at this time, when you Save & Close and return to the map, enable the labels and then save again from the ...

Most of this is the same. You should confirm that the visibility is true in the project. What I have seen so far is that when at least one layer has labels that are visible, Analyst will send the request to Spectrum Spatial to render labels. The zoom range settings complicate things in that I have ...
