Duri, Yeah I am trying to republish it as base map. I had tried the External Tile Configurations options but the url syntax doesn't match.  The same link that works fine in Pro reports an error of "Enter a valid URL with (LEVEL)/(ROW)/(COL)." in the External Tile Configurations options. I did find this ...

Hi, trying to add an external WMTS feed to spectrum.  I know the link works as I can add it fine to MI Pro. format is   "https://api.os.uk/maps/raster/v1/wmts?key=*************PBzCSitGTldfvJdni&amp" Under the External File Config in Spatial manager I can't find a similar option (tried WMS and Tile ...

Rachel, Are the address details exactly the same?  If there is slight variation you may need to map to postcode only, etc. Assuming column called postcode.  SQL would be: Select:  postcode, count(*), centroidx(obj), centroidy(obj) from : mytable Group By : postcode Into : selection This should give you ...

Peter, Nope I hadn't noticed either of those options and both do exactly what I want!!!! Would it be helpful for me just to delete my wish list addition? Nick ------------------------------ Nick Hall Mapchester LTD nick.hall@mapchester.co.uk ------------------------------

Peter, Another little bonus for me was finally using (understanding) the little drop down option for the new SQL window.  Usually I would have run the update from the mapbasic window but it worked perfectly in the new SQL using the update statement. One thing I have requested on the wish list is for ...

Hi, not sure if there's been a discussion about this before but I was trying to find a Pro solution for this issue. I want to turn the results of a spatial join like this: into a result table that looks like this: can it be done in the new SQL window?  At the moment I have to join > group by > ...

Bryce, Sorry, my mistake. The new Select by Location options is a way of doing spatial joins and dynamic buffers only, you can't actually calculate distances with it.  I think I was just willing it to be part of the options!!! Back to the SQL I'm afraid. Nick ------------------------------ Nick Hall ...

Kieran, You may be correct in that you simply can't update data when it's delivered via a view. However, having worked with a few Spatial DBs in MapInfo now there's a few questions I have : 1) is it a linked or live table?  If it's linked is all the correct DNS or connection string in the .tab file.  ...

Alan, I think I've found away to do it.  It's a bit fiddly though.  Basically the steps are : 1) Tools > Seamless Manager > Turn Seamless Off 2) Open browser for seamless table. 3) Select top row.  Cut and Paste. 4) Save and pack table 5) Tools > Seamless Manager > Turn Seamless On 6) Adjust ...

Alan. I'm reading between the lines here but to me it looks you have opened a seamless table for a set of raster tiles.  The Adjust Image Style option appears to 'show' you the first image in the seamless list.  I'll have a look and see if I can see away to alter the order of the tiles so the option ...

Alan, Hi, sorry if I'm misunderstanding you here but cant you just use the scroll bars to move to a location where you can see a building? Nick ------------------------------ Nick Hall Mapchester LTD nick.hall@mapchester.co.uk ------------------------------

Bryce, Couple of options : 1) Use the Distance() function in SQL.  This will require some sort of join between the two datasets 2) If you're on V19 you can use the new Select by Location tool. Happy to expand on either if needed. Nick ------------------------------ Nick Hall Mapchester LTD nick.hall@mapchester.co.uk ...

Martin, Over the (too many) years I have collected mbx tools that I thought would one day prove useful.  17yrs ago I saved one called Arrows40.mbx. Just tested it in V19 and with it's own sample data produced this map basically it requires a start and end table and a 3rd look up table for the arrows ...

Chris, I agree with John.  I would try and get the user not to use live or active as descriptions as they don't really exists.  Any object on  a single layer can be selected as long as that layer is made selectable.  This can be any number of layers.  However only 1 layer at a time can be made editable. ...

Chris, No log files are created in the flat files Pro uses.  MapInfo creates temp files when a layer is originally edited until the layer is saved. Then they're gone.  If the data is held in some sort of spatial server then maybe that will create time/date stamps for individual records.   I don't think ...
