    Hi,

    I'm working in transaction XD02 (Change Customer Master Data) and need to clean up customer records. Some customers have multiple email addresses maintained in the Address tab, and I want to remove several at once.

    Can it be done with Precisely Automate to delete multiple email addresses in XD02, rather than manually removing them one by one? If so, what's the recommended approach?

    I've already tried a few recordings with Precisely Automate, but so far those attempts have failed.

    Any step-by-step guidance, sample scripts, or best practices for handling this in bulk would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for reaching out. Regarding your query, yes, it is possible. Please follow the steps below.

    The most reliable method for managing multiple email addresses is:
    Download all existing email address data first - Extract and backup current email entries
    Delete all existing email entries - Remove all current email addresses from the system
    Re-add only the required email addresses - Input only the necessary email addresses
    This approach avoids complications with pagination and script failures when dealing with multiple email address lines.


    Or you can use the Step-by-Step GUI Method
    If you need to manually delete email addresses through the GUI:
    Navigate to the Change vendor screen (XD02)
    Select the Other Email Address icon
    Highlight the first row containing the email address you want to delete
    Select the Delete icon
    Repeat this process until you've deleted all unwanted email addresses
    Save your changes

    Script Development Considerations
    When creating scripts to delete multiple email addresses:
    Use GUI Scripting mode for recording the deletion process
    Include the maximum number of delete commands necessary for your dataset
    Use "If on Index" conditions to handle multiple pages of email addresses
    Implement "Page Down" navigation in your script to access subsequent pages if there are more than four email address lines
    Test thoroughly with various email entry scenarios before production use.
