Hi Theresa
Once you're on our server-based products, like Evolve or Studio Manager, you will need to keep the software in sync. So if they are on version 20.3.1, you will want to connect with Studio 20.3.1.
Please check this page: https://customer.precisely.com/s/article/Studio-Evolve-Compatibility-Matrix?language=en_US
Note it states Studio and Evolve compatibility, but the same holds true for Studio Manager.
Best Regards,
Sigrid

That is great news, thank you so much Sigrid! That was my biggest concern/question, which one should be done first, the software client install or the WFM.
Thanks so much!

Hi Theresa,
You're most welcome.
As to your question - yes! The Studio is always backwards compatible with the Function Module (FM).
If you go to this page: https://customer.precisely.com/s/article/Studio-Evolve-Compatibility-Matrix?language=en_US
and scroll down, you will see this table with Studio to FM compatibility:

In fact, the FM should be upgraded last, after everyone has upgraded all other software. However, we recommend you keep Studio and the FM on the same version, but you have time to plan for the FM upgrade if you upgrade Studio first.
Best Regards,
Sigrid

This is very good information, thank you Sigrid! I have a question...we have 2 of our systems that still have WFM 12.1, and we have the 12.1 software with Studio Connect installed for the users. If we upgrade those users to 20.3 Studio Connect will they still be able to run their scripts on the systems that have WFM 12.1 installed until we can upgrade the WFM to 20.3? Also, will there any issues if we convert from 20.3 Connect to 20.3 Evolve(de-activate and re-activate the software) on their machines when we upgrade to Evolve in a few months?

Hi Marcel
You're welcome.
Yes, Windows 10 is still supported in 20.3.x. If you use the link I provided above, it will show this - along with all other prerequisites. Please also note we are starting to deprecate older SAP GUI versions, so I suggest you read the system requirements.

Best Regards,
Sigrid

Hello Sigrid,
Thank you so much for the valuable informations you have been sharing to assist people like me.
Can Studio 20.3.1 work on Windows 10 and with the installation mentioned below?
WinshuttleFM 20.2.8 -> release 82C.
All the runners' Notebooks are still with Windows 10.
I need to inform myself before Studio 12.x expires at the end of Month (30.09.2023) as mentioned in your email.
Kind Regards,
Marcel
