I have to update rental contracts and add serial numbers. Each contract may have different number of line items. I created a loop condition but it's not working. Any inputs would be appreciated

It would be helpful to see what you're doing in your script, as Jayasri suggested. 

In lieu of that, you have to either know the data you want to update or extract it first.

(1) if you know which row(s) you need to update, use the position button to find the right row, which moves it to the top row.  Then go into details and update it.

(2) if you don't know the rows you need to update, extract the data in your contracts with Query (or another method you might have available), update that data and then use option 1 to find those rows and update them.
