  • 1.  Using a repeating table to do a process launch

    Posted 05-06-2026 11:37

    Hi,

I have a repeating table and wondering if I can use the plug-in for the process launch to launch a new form automatically for each row in the repeating table?  So if the user has 20 rows in the repeating table populated it will auto-launch 20 new process forms with the data from each row as a seperate process?

    Thanks,

    Julie T.

    Hi Julie,

Yes, you can use repeating table property to launch multiple children from a parent form. see screenshot below.
Find a working copy of solutions attached here: https://nowtransfer.de/2f9d4b2ccb42
userlist: it is a reference list from where users are fetched for resolving child swimlane.

    parent: Parent form solution.

    child: Child form Solution.

once imported make changes in the userlist, update your usernames and also update solution variants in parent and child forms.

You can also refer documentation: https://help.precisely.com/r/mrAs186gUNguPpM_zrVnVg/JCNeQZdlMd6IBEAnbKS5tw?section=plugins-form-process-launch

    Hope this helps.

UPDATE: I figured it out - sorry

    Hi,

Thank you but that looks like it's only using a reference data list to resolve a swimlane.  Can I have a repeating table the user populated with data and use that as the source to a textfield in the child solution that's not in a repeating table and we are not resolving swimlanes?  I only got it working by reading the data from the repeating table into textfields on the parent first and then sending that textfield across but that doesn't work very well since we don't know how many rows they'll use.

    Hi @Julie Towle

Was going to reply once I made time. The RDL was only used to ease testing. It would work with manually entered data, too.  Glad you figured that out!

    Best Regards,

    Sigrid
