  • 1.  ME23N - updates to item details throwing error message

    Hi everyone,

    I'm trying to update the amount and currency in the condition tab for line items in ME23N and continue to run into error messages.   I use Transaction 10.7.3 right now but will be switching over to studio soon.  The user I'm helping also has Transaction.   I ran it using non-batch w/controls (but have also tried the other modes as well with no luck).  I have also used a loop.      I've attached some screenshots that will hopefully show what I may be missing.  I also tried adding an if condition for changing from display to change.

    Hi Tina,
    Please try using ME22 T-Code. It will be faster and easier to do so. 

    If you don't have access to ME22, try with ME22N. 

    ME23N is display PO while ME22N is change PO.

    HI Tina

    A few things:
    • To update, you'll need to use ME22 or ME22N, as another suggested.  
    • BATCH mode is best for ME21n/ME22n. 
    • ensure you include the screen name in your loop - line 17 in your screen shot.

    I have had the same issue.   The problem I found with changing prices on the PO line is that WS doesn't know what line in the conditions that you want to change.   Therefore, instead of running in Batch mode I developed script using GUI scripting and it has the ability to change any condition based on the Condition type.  In your case PB00.    If you wanted to change the STKO - Cash Discount, it would do that as well.    The problem that I see in what you are trying to do is change the Currency code as well.   I am not sure what effects that will have on the remaining lines in the PO.    If you want to reachout to me, my information is below.

    Thank you everyone for your replies back to my questions.  I was able to make it work by just switching to ME22N, and making sure that the line item in the detail section was selected.
