  • 1.  MapInfo Monday: MapInfo Pro v2023

    MapInfo Pro v2023 was released on September 12th with support for English, French, and German.

    In February 2024, we released a new build of MapInfo Pro v2023 with support for all 16 languages.

    In February 2025, we released MapInfo Pro v2023.1, which includes improved DBSM Support, support for Snowflake, and new and enhanced tools in the MapInfo Marketplace.

    In December 2025, we released MapInfo Pro v23.2 with support for English. For this version, our focus has been on adding support for the Precisely Data Integrity Suite, allowing you to consume Precisely data and use Spatial Analytical capabilities in the Suite.

    In April 2026, we released MapInfo Pro v23.2 (Build 244) with support for the additional 15 lanaguages.

    Over the coming months, we will add additional languages to the installer like we normally do.
    We will update this post with further details about the release and links to in-depth articles.

    Yesterday, we published a new build (build 120) of MapInfo Pro v2023 with support for additional languages: Japanese, Swedish, Finnish, and Danish.

    Besides adding these additional languages, we have also improved the MapInfo 3D add-in in the installer

    You can now create Column Layers from point datasets where you specify a radius for the "columns" and a height. The height can be a value from a column as you can see in the example below.

    We have also made some improvements to controlling the 3D Shapes. You can now use attributes to, as an example, control the scale of the 3D Objects. Below, the scale of the trees is controlled by the value in the Height attribute.
    We'll add more details later.

    Last week, we published a new build (build 142) of MapInfo Pro v2023.

    With this latest update, MapInfo Pro v2023 is now available in 16 languages (English, Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish).

    This release also fixed an issue where the Choose Projection dialog didn't show when requested by Universal Translator.

    If you are using a server-based license, do remember to upgrade your MapInfo License Server Utility to the latest version. That's currently v5.5. Find it here: MapInfo LSU v5.5.

    We are working on adding support for the additional languages. We plan to release a new build with support for these languages in Q1 of 2026.
