  • 1.  MapBasic - Insert WMS GetFeatureInfo response into table

    Hello,

    I have previously extracted aerial image dates from metadata in a local XML file, but having moved to a WMS layer, I have to use the info tool WMS GetFeatureInfo, and find the date in date_flown = '[date,time]'. How do I capture that information using a MapBasic command? Ideally it needs to be captured when I click inside a polygon to open a dialog box.

    Hi Steve,

    few months ago I built a large application that reads data from WMS among many other capabilities; my application captures elevations, Z levels from a variety of sources. If you want  and you are not in a hurry I can prepare for you a short MB script just for your needs. I should need the URL of that WMS connection. I offer this for free.

    Hi Sergi,

    That's a very kind offer, thank you. Four days after posting my question I thought I probably wouldn't get a response, so I opened a ticket directly with support. A case is open but I haven't had a response yet. We should probably wait to see what they come back with before inconveniencing you with this task, but I may still need help as I'm not a 'real' programmer.

    The case is still with Engineering and they have yet to come up with anything. If they don't find a resolution soon, perhaps we can have another look at your offer of help.
