hi gurus, 

does the long text feature work with CS02 Tcode? I see it available in mapping, but cannot make it work.Anyone has script to update long texts(header /item) in BOM in S4?

I'm getting this error:

CS02/3 is not in the list of supported tcodes in the documentation: https://help.precisely.com/r/n/Automate-Studio/Evolve/Latest/en-US/Automate-Studio-with-Evolve-User-Guide/Add-Long-Text

That means you will want to follow the steps to add it via  a recording.

If adding rows, I like this method

1 open bom

2 go to long text (line editor)

3 page to bottom

4 page down

5 add a line of long text near the bottom and hit enter

put a loop around steps 3-5

6 Then exit the text editor 

7 then save

Attaching an example for header text.

Used our S4 2023 system to create this.  Attaching example - included a few developer notes for the text steps.

There may be other methods, but this one ensures you don't overwrite a line.

Please open an idea on supporting this via the Long Text option in the Function Module - I'll vote for it. :)

Thanks for checking the ideas portal. That link is requesting it for two different tcodes:  CO02 and FSP0 

If you want your use case supported, I suggest submitting a request for CS02/3.
