    Hello,

We created a script for updating lines to reflect new contracts.  We tried several different types of recordings and and ideas of how to assigned the contracts reliably.  We settled on the attached and it has worked well within its limitation but recently we have been seeing the "Runtime error RAISE_EXCEPTION has occurred" error but only sometimes.  The lines can be done manually just fine and the error only appears on the first screen and can be debugged through without issue. Currently using 24.1

Has anyone run into something like this, have a work around, or a better method for applying contracts?

    Hi Scott

Just so that I'm clear, you want to update sales order line items referring to a different contract number for a particular line - is that correct?

Have not run into this.  What happens when you run in step by step mode on the ones that fail?

I did a search on the support site and found this article: https://customer.precisely.com/s/article/Runtime-Error-RAISE-EXCEPTION-has-Occurred-360023691191

It says to check the Start SAP GUI, which you did. If that doesn't work, to try recording in Batch mode, which can be helpful with all of the pop-ups.

If you want to try a BAPI, I may have an example.

    Best Regards,

    Sigrid

    Hi Sigrid,

Yes, we are looking for it to apply a contract on a particular line item and make sure the contract is applying any appropriate pricing overrides and any amount it removed from the contract.

For the lines that fail on the first screen I see this and only see the "Runtime error RAISE_EXCEPTION has occurred.  I can still click through all the OK codes and it will perform as expected from there.

I'm up for trying a BAPI.  I'll also try recording it in batch, the myriad of pop-ups at the end of this transaction has been a major pain point.

    Thanks in advance.
