    Introduction

The standard Content Author Release Notes Guide includes basic configuration for the MS-Edge browser to enable the Content Author IE embedded Active-X controls and general behavior such as pop-ups and frames to work.

The downside of using Content Author in IE Mode means that by default Edge shows a warning message to the user for every new webpage display that Content Author displays.

This is both annoying and also looks worrying and raises alarm bells to users and sys admin owners alike, that the Content Author web UI is not fit of purpose or secure.

This tech note is a guide on how to stop the message from appearing without breaking the Content Author deployment and execution within the Edge browser.

The changes detailed in this tech note basically apply configuration changes at the Local Group Policy level for the client desktop being used with the Edge browser, to run the Content Author web UI.

You may need Windows 'Administrator' (sysadmin) level user access to be able to make the requisite changes.
