    Data360 DQ+ planned maintenance schedule announcement for 14.0 UAT and PROD AWS environments

    AWS Support has stated that some EMR On‑Demand clusters are terminating during startup due to a disk encryption failure. This occurs when cluster instances are unable to reach the AWS metadata service to retrieve the required KMS credentials used for disk encryption. When this happens, the cluster cannot initialise successfully and is terminated automatically.To address these unexpected terminations, we will be upgrading the 14.0 UAT and PROD servers as per the schedule below:


    US UAT Upgrade: May 1st @ 3:00 PM CTUK /AU/ EU UAT Upgrade: May 1st @ 2:00 PM CT 

    US PROD Upgrade: May 2nd @ 4:00 PM CTUK/AU/EU PROD Upgrade: May 2nd @ 5:00 PM CT


    The downtime would only be when we redeploy the code for 20 minutes. The upgrade requires security configurations, new EMR shared clusters and updating the EMR Security Config value for On-Demand Clusters.
