Hi John
When using Studio with a server-based product like Foundation or Evolve, your Studio version must match the server version. For example:
- Studio 12.1 can connect to Foundation 12.1
- Studio 20.3 can connect to Evolve 20.3
While transitioning, for those involved in the migration or testing, we recommend setting up a VM with one of the releases - old or new - so that you can still get your work done in the current release, while preparing for the new release.
Once you have everything migrated and tested (I hope you're using the Migration Utility for migration), then you can just use your desktop with the new version and release the need for the VM.
I hope that helps,
Sigrid

Subject: Automate Studio Manager versus WinShuttle Foundation
Hello,
We are still using WinShuttle Studio 12.1, with Foundation set up on SharePoint.
If one person needs to upgrade to Studio 20.3 with Studio Manager, can this co-exist with our Foundation setup? Everyone will upgrade soon after.
Thanks!
