  • 1.  MapInfo don't support the Oracle data type nclob?

When I was connecting a oracle database table that has a nclob column, it told me that there was a column data type unsupported.

(Image words:Unsupported data types in columns: SW_LINEBSM)

What should I do? Or just unsupported?

@Zhipeng Wang thanks for your question - MapInfo Pro supports the Oracle Spatial datatype.  There's a helpful section in the User Guide on setting up/configuring a connection from MapInfo Pro <> Oracle (including details of Oracle client prerequisites), to find it search on "Working with Oracle Spatial Tables" in the User Guide

    Hi Zhipeng

A work around to handle nclob column would be to convert it to varchar and then try to download table with converted data type field.

Conversion from CLOB to VARCHAR data type is explained at Oracle docs @ https://docs.oracle.com/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14258/d_lob.htm#i1016916
