    The intention of this post isn't to give you a complete walkthrough of MapInfo Pro but to inspire you on where to look for help or reach out if you have questions.

    Go to the MapInfo Pro Support Site where you find knowledge articles, documentation, and links to forums, downloads, and much more

    Using the Contact link at the top of the Support site, you can discover ways to reach out to our technical support team.

    Forums

    You are reading this article on the MapInfo Pro Community which is the official Precisely MapInfo Pro community. Here you can search for topics, look for answers to questions similar to yours, and ask questions. You can also support the community by providing help and answers to existing questions.
    If you have questions about automating or writing applications for MapInfo Pro I'd recommend visiting the MapInfo Pro Developer User Group. which also can be found on the Precisely Knowledge Communities.
    You can also find a lot of good information on the MapInfo-L. The MapInfo-L has been around for more than three decades and contains a wealth of information. The MapInfo-L is an independent community hosted on Google Group.

    Documentation

    MapInfo Pro comes with a range of documentation. You can find the various documents via the Support Site above, and you can access these directly from within MapInfo Pro, too.
    Go to the Backstage via the Pro tab. From the Resource tab, you can access a vast range of resources.
    In the MapInfo News section, we give you access to the latest articles on MapInfo Pro. This can be #MapInfoMonday articles and the #MapInfoMonthly newsletter but it can also be third-party articles or blog posts related to MapInfo Pro. We try to update the MapInfo News section each month.
    The Getting Started section in the middle holds links to individual articles and article collections that can benefit new users of MapInfo Pro and also users coming from the classic 32-bit version of MapInfo Pro. Here you can find articles covering some of the basics of MapInfo Pro. The Getting Started with MapInfo Pro post is a good place to start.
    On the right side, in the Getting Help section, you can find quick links to the MapInfo Help System and the MapInfo Pro Manuals.
    In the SQL window, you can find links to some of the more technical documentation for MapInfo Pro and MapBasic.
    If you, as an example, are looking to use Python from within MapInfo Pro, the Extensibility Reference contains a description of the MapInfo Pro object model that you will have access to from Python.
    The MapBasic Reference help is a great resource when you build advanced expressions or scripts and want to find or learn more about specific MapBasic functions and statements.

    You can find a long list of MapInfo Pro videos in the MapInfo Pro Playlist on the Precisely YouTube channel.
