I have been through some presentations, Guides and different set of forums to find out how much easy it should be to use MSSQL / PostgreSQL for Spatial database versioning.

I was able to find this references that explain a part of my question, here is the link. All thanks to @Peter Horsbøll Møller?

    https://www.slideshare.net/peterhorsbollmoller/muguki-session-on-mi-pro-11-and-sql-server-2008-english-pbs Page 60 to 68

So, My question is Can we use PostgreSQL / MSSQL for Spatial database versioning? If yes how? How do we resolve the Conflicts in spatial data? can we get demo Video for the same?

I started exploring on versioning. Since most of the clients look for open source database for small-scale projects.

    Thanks,

    -Krishna.

Everything I've found doing a quick search for DB versioning with PostGIS is using 3rd-party add-ins to handle these data changes with multi-user editing of tables.
