Hello MapInfo Guru.

In Map Info V15, there was "Create Drop Shadows" under the Layout menu. I've tried to do the same in V16 but did not succeed. I did not find how to add shadow to a polygon. Any clue regarding that would be quite appreciated. Regards.

Hhhmmmm, not sure. Let me try to rephrase it. I try to find out the Create Drop Shadows tool available in the layout menu within V15 from which I can easily add shadow to a polygon in a layout window. Any help on how I can get this done in V16 would be great. Regards.

I am afraid there is no current drop shadow in the 64-bit layout. But you can kind of simulate it by creating a rectangle and coloring it and moving it to the backdrop or select Transform command under Spatial Tab and use Offset Object tool which moves/create copy of the selected object by specifying a distance and direction.

We’ll be bridging gaps on tools/functions as we release MapInfo versions.
