During the LI Roadshow events in Australia we asked the audience to submit an answer to this question: "What does community mean to you?". The resulting word cloud formed by consolidating answers across all 3 events is shown in the attached file.
Two observations that stood out for me on reviewing the results of the word cloud:
- Verbs. There are many "doing" words; caring, learning, supporting, collaboration. Communities exist to help one another
- Relationships. There is a predominance of words relating to relationships; People, members, family, neighbours, friends. The link between community & relationship is strong
