Geofencing is a valuable tool for understanding consumer behavior given you have the permission of your clients to use this information. Banks have transaction activity to know when clients were in the branch but they don't know how long they waited for service. Geofencing data could give some understanding of that. Of course the time in the branch may include getting advice. It can also be used to provide offers to clients as they enter a branch. Another use of geofencing is to understand what competitor branches they have entered in addition to your own bank. Finally you could determine their "trajectory", where they have been before or after their visit to your branch and have a fuller understanding of how the bank fits in with their activities.
