  • 1.  Output or move file to a Windows Shared drive?

    Just wondering if there is a way to output a file (or move a file) to a win share drive?

    If the Windows share has been mounted on the Linux machine using Samba then you should be able to write a file to the share in the same way as writing to a location on the local file system. The file operation occurs under the identity of the 'Analyze' user so it needs permission to write to the share directory.

    Samba is a security risk, it has been removed from our systems... looking into using unix ndm or just using a sharepoint drive
