  • 1.  Parallel Processing in latest release

    Hi Team,

We have noticed when using the latest release of Analyze that the flow seems to be trying to do some sort of Parallel Processing, with lots of node all running at the same time.

This happens even when the node cannot be run at the same time because they are 100% dependant on data from the nodes in sequence.

All this Parallel Processing seems to achieve is to make the processing take a lot longer and very hard to see which mode is taking to longest to run, because all nodes look like they are running until the processing is completed.

Is this desired functionality in the latest release?

    Hi John,

I believe you are running Analyze v.3.8.0 (please correct me if this is wrong). There were some UI-related issues in this release that could cause a running data flow to indicate multiple nodes in a chain were running simultaneously. This issue has been rectified in Analyze v.3.8.1 (released 15th Sept).

The issue only affects the rendering of the state of the nodes. The underlying nodes are actually running in the correct order and this should not affect the data flow processing time. Requesting an upgrade of your instance to v.3.8.1 will rectify the UI display issue.

    Regards,

    Adrian
