  • 1.  Issue opening WZIP files downloaded from Evolve site

    Hi Winshuttle Community,

    We've recently upgraded a customer to Winshuttle Evolve.  We've run into an issue where we are unable to open WZIP files downloaded from the Evolve site.  Our aim is to download reference data (updated daily with a scheduled query) content to Excel.  We've tried opening the files in the customer's environment and our own but to no avail.

    Please see below.  We're unable to open this with 7zip, WinZip or the embedded Windows tool.

    We have logged a support call but perhaps someone here already has the answer.

    Hi Andre -

    A .wzip file is not a regular zip file that can be unpacked. It is a proprietary Winshuttle specific Evolve file type that is used within Evolve only. If you wanted to see the updated list, you would go to View Data, and then there is an "Export ODC File" option. That file can then be opened in Excel.

    Hi Jennifer,

    Thank you for explaining the .wzip file format.  That makes sense now.

    I have tried opening the ODC export in Excel but this also gives an error and was confirmed by Winshuttle to be a bug.  Waiting for their feedback regarding the matter.
