  • 1.  Excel data format for a BCD field for a BAPI parameter

    Hi all,

    How do I format a column/cell in an Excel data file for a BAPI parameter field of type BCD? I continue to get the message "Please do not assign a value of type System.String to a RFC parameter of type BCD". I've tried text, general, number, =DEC2BIN, leading zeros, etc.

    For example, UNITSOFMEASURE - GROSS_WT (BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA) is BCD 7. I want a value of 1 passed into the BAPI.

    Hi Brian

    Numeric should work for UOM gross weight, for example..  Please check the padding defaults for the inputs.  You may need to change them.    I opted for no padding.
