I have a v12 Winshuttle Composer form with multiple views. On one view, for example, a drop down list of sales reps is populated from a sql-server table of about 40 entries and is filtered based on the division chosen previously. This is done via the drop down choices menu -> Get Choices -> From Data Connection. The data connection is a -> Database (Microsoft (SQL Server)) -> automatically retrieve data when form is opened, filter data on KNVW_SPART = Division(field on form).
This works 75% of the time. The sales admin fills the form, chooses the correct sales rep and other data and presses continue to route the form. Then, when the master data team opens the form, the sales rep field is SOMETIMES in error with "invalid sales rep" and if you press the drop down list - NOTHING appears. If they press REFRESH on the browers (sometimes once, sometimes 2-3 times) the error goes away, the choice is filled with the entry that the sales admin chose, and all the other entries are populated. WEIRD!
This happens with TWO OTHER drop down fields populated by data connection, rather than hard coded. I even rewrote the code with WS Query elements that load the entire table into a repeating table element and populate the drop downs from that. That works 100% of the time for the dropdowns, but then the other fields in the form that use WS Query elements no longer work. WEIRD! Very glitchy.
Is it a memory issue? The composer solution file is 8.4MB. It glitches if i have one program open or 20. and only happens about 25% of the time. Is it a setting in foundation? Please help or share similar experiences. Thank you. The same exact (relatively exact) code works fine in Winshuttle 10.6 with infopath.
