  • 1.  Server-based Execution ?

    Posted 07-23-2020 11:18

Good morning from P&G Auburn Maine,

Looking for clarification on what server-based execution is being described as a game-changer.

We've used a Windows PC/IT server to run scheduled Transaction jobs since about 2008, but various IT updates, usually for security or cost, result in missed cycles and some process reconfiguration about twice a year.

Is the game-changer execution on a Winshuttle.com server ?   or the SAP server itself ?   or other ?

    Thanks,

    Ray Bachman

    Hi Ray

There are many ways to schedule or run a script that isn't on your desktop - using a VM is one way.

The wuginar tomorrow will cover the different ways, but will focus on Studio Manager, which schedules/runs on a server, posting/extracting to/from SAP.

Here's the registration page, in case you haven't signed up yet:  https://more.winshuttle.com/200728_Global_WUGinar_Customers_Server-basedExecution_Registration-guided.html

    Best Regards,
