I had the same problem in VA01. With VA02 I had to put the text with add longtext to get it right.

Hi Benjamin

Double clicking into the "word processor" like entry will require GUI scripting.

There is also an option in most tcodes to use a line editor - which would require breaking it into 72 characters.

But if you are on version 12.1, you can easily enter long text via functionality in the Winshuttle Function Module.  Here is the documentation:  https://docs.winshuttle.com/studio-en-12-1-x-online-help-studio-w-connect/12/Record-long-text.htm
You would record a simple FB02 script and the simply choose the long text you want to add to it.  It will add key fields and they take care of uploading/downloading the long text.

Make a recording for FB02. Open the recording in Winshuttle Studio.
Go to Map and choose Add Long Text from the menu.
A screen pops up where you can select the long texts you want to add in the script.
For using this the Winshuttle Function Module must be installed. (At least corresponding to your Studioversion of higher level. Preferable the highest available version.)
