  • 1.  Winshuttle 10.7 Scripts Forgotten Password

    Hello All, 
       I'm new to the community site here and new to Winshuttle but getting a hang of things here and there. I however have come across an issue where I am trying to upgrade Winshuttle 10.7 scripts to 12.1 but I'm not able to do so without the password for the original scripts. 

    The question is, is there anyway around the password to be able to open up those scripts?

    Hello Agheil,

    Unfortunately we do not have a way of "breaking" this lock as that is it's design. You would need to locate the script developer to find out the password, or re-record the script.

    It may be possible to find a .bak file which would have been created at the same time as the original script was recorded.  This would be a backup file which would not have any mapping associated with it.  The .bak file could then be re-named so that the extension is changed to .txr and then mapped to match the previous script.
