  • 1.  ME12 - How to map the "Category Information" button

    Hello All,

    I am trying to create a script for ME12 and I am having trouble figuring out how to map the selection button "Standard (NORMB)" and "Subcontracting (LOHNB)" ... It is in the initial screen , section "Category Information" ... I have a list of Info Record to update that have both in it for a total of over 100,000 PIR ...

    I would like to avoid having to create 2 different scripts … and adjust the data file for it ...

     

    So far, I have been able to have the following fields showing in my script when recording from a "Standard (NORMB)" PIR …

    radRM06I-NORMB.select()

    radRM06I-NORMB.setFocus()

    After that, I copied the 2 lines and manually changed them to "Subcontracting (LOHNB)"…

    radRM06I-LOHNB.select()

    radRM06I-LOHNB.setFocus()

    From there, I do not know if it is possible to have the script going from one or the other automatically …

    Hi Catherine -

    It looks like you're trying to record in GUI Scripting recording mode, but that's not necessary. You can use standard mode. 

    Those two radio buttons (along with the other two) are associated with unique field names. RM06I-NORMB is for standard and RM06I-LOHNB is for subcontracting. Having a value of "X" is what indicates that that radio button has been selected.

    You need to include both those fields in your script and they both need a fixed value of "X".  Then you will need to put an IF condition around each of those, so that the correct one is used based on the type of PIR you want to create.  See my example below where I am using column C to indicate whether I want to use a Standard PIR or a Subcontracting PIR.
