Hello,

Is it possible to create script for add long text on transactions other than the ones listed on this link:

I am looking to add long text on IA05 - Create task list.

Hi Thara,

Yes it is possible to record long text without using the "Add long text" function. In the above link it outlines this, but I have included it again below:

-Record in Batch mode or Non-Batch Input without SAP controls and use the text editor. Use this option if you are including If conditions or loops, or when recording in Standard or Non-Batch Input mode does not work. To use the text editor, you must split the long text into lines that are no more than 72 characters long.

Depending on the tcode there should be a way to get to a Text Editor screen. If you have any issues please open a Support ticket and we are happy to help.

Hi Thara,

Am attaching an example that would add rows of data to the bottom of the header long text in IA06.  It should work in IA05, as well.   It uses a loop to include 72 character rows of data.

If you need to replace the long text, you could include the action to delete what's there - click Text and Delete or Shift F2.

Click the edit button 


Please see that attached for one way to record it.
