  • 1.  XK02 Create Partner functions - general and by plant

    I have to create a Winshuttle for vendors to change/add/delete partner functions...general and by plant. (XK02)
    Has anyone done this?
    I have created scripts for customer partner functions but this is very different. The screen sequence is even different if you already have one plant and you want to add another. Initially I  was hoping that  XK99  would work...but it is not..

    Hi Thersha 

    Am not certain I understand your request completely.  Vendors are setup by company and purchase orgs.  

    If the question is about screen order in XK02, you can record deselecting all views 
     and then choose the partner view so that you're always only filling in the vendor # and purchase org and then go directly to the partner screen
    ​
    In order to add/update/delete partners, since there are no position buttons/functions, I would use GUI scripting.

    This helps.  I switched to GUI Script. I  made the decision to break up the Winshuttle scripts into smaller chunks...changing the Purch Org PF in one, then adding the Plant PF in another, Deleting the Plant in another  and more  as there are a lot of 'table' entries to deal with .I am however having issues with the GUI Script with the delete. I only have 3 columns but get like 6  invalid column name errors. I am currently working with Joseph at Winshuttle customer support on these issues.

    Glad I could help a little, Thersha.  In general, "chunking" up scripts like you're doing is a good idea.  For the GUI scripting, you're in good hands with Joseph!

    Hi Thersha,

    Typically and invalid column name errors in a GUI script are due to interacting with the "identify disabled fields" button during the recording. Do you have any fields in the Expert view mapping that are not mapped to Excel? Try disabling these if they are not needed. Or change them to fixed value instead of a download field.
