Is it required for someone to have authorized transaction access, in SAP, for MM02 Change Material if they are to run a Winshuttle template for Material Master Changes?

    hi Tony,

Yes, it is: when executing a Winshuttle script one will login into Winshuttle and into SAP using ones own login credentials and the SAP permissions linked to them.

    Hi Tony,

It certainly is needed to have authorizations to the transaction where the WinShuttle script is running for. However, when you want to limit the permissions in the transaction, you can set this up with limited authorizations within the role that the user has.
You can even limit the authorizations to the fields that are being changed with the script. This makes sure that other data, that is not being changed by the script, cannot be changed.
All you can change with the script is always needed in the authorization for the user. This means that the user can also always make the changes via SAP GUI.

    Best regards,
