  • 1.  SAP Purchase Order delivery date change for multiple line

    Hello,

    I tried to create script to update the PO delivery date for multiple line items and for multiple POs. It allows me to change for first line item but it error out for next . Can anybody help with script ?

    Hi Pankaj

    Can you please post your script and share if there are any messages?

    Note that ME22N is a bit of a bear to automate, if that's what you're using.   I typically use the FILTER option and move over item number to find the right row.  I do that for the first row.  Then I record a second row that doesn't add any filter fields - it just enters the value I'm filtering on.   Attaching a simple example built in v12.1.  I updated the delivery date in the item details tab - first row only.

    Hi Pankaj

    Our systems are not configured the same, so I was just giving an example.  I tried running yours and it took me to the wrong tabs.

    I looked at your script, and it looks like you did a good job with it, as it's a tricky tcode (I much prefer ME22 :) ).   Please remember that this tcode remembers where you left off in the item details, so it's a good practice to return to the first tab before saving.

    Have you tried to run it in debug mode?  That usually tells me I forgot an IF statement or see that it's on the wrong tab, etc.

    Hi Pankay,

    it looks like the window with the item overview is still closed and therefore you get the error "No batch input data for screen SAPLMGUI0014".
    In your script on line 17 (Expert view) I see the value MAV0041BUTTON which tell me you used the mouse to open this view.
    My advise is to always use key-combinations if possible when recording the transaction especially with ME22N.
    In this case, when using the mouse you will see in your recoding the same value for opening and closing the view.
    When using the keycombination the values are different. =METOGGON2 (CTRL+F3) opens the window itemview, METOFFOFF2 (CTRL+F6) closes the window itemoverview.
    The values for open and close the item details are =METOGGON3 (CTRL+F4)and METOGGOFF3  (CTRL+F7).
    To be sure the window is opened I always use first =METOGGON2 in my script. If it's already open it stays open, if its closed is will open.
