  • 1.  IQ01 Display equipment number when saving

    I have a Material number and Serial number using IQ01 to create an equipment number when saved. I have to then go into a table look up to get the equipment number that was just created. Is there a way to see the equipment number after saving and remove the step of having to go into a table look up? My example in XK01 when savings displays the new record number. I am looking for the same when using IQ01.

    I'm not familiar with these tcodes and you'll probably get a better answer here in a bit, but if the SAP log message contains the new record ID you can use RegEx to extract the number and store it elsewhere for use. We also had a teammate use a Studio feature to convert the message to only show a document number in the SAP log field.
