Hi Lyle
This is not my area of expertise. The t-code compiled when I went to look at it, so you can tell that it's not used a lot. And we don't have much that would be considered items that needed follow-up. Most are just logs of what has happened in the background in various states.
If you can share a bit more about your use case, perhaps one of us can give you a few tips in creating a script.
Just looking at the t-code, it probably requires GUI scripting mode. Because of that, I'd look for a BAPI, if there is one.
As for using transaction and query, yes we have customers who use both. Some are extracting data to modify and then post updates. Starting in v12.1, you can chain them (aka 'link'), where you can run both queries and transaction, but only with a Connect license. I just used this for a use case where I used a combination of query and transaction scripts to extract data from SAP in a sales order - using a transaction script for long text.
Best Regards,
Sigrid

Hi There, has anyone successfully scripted SWIA? I am working on moving workflows , we have Open Text for our vendor invoices.
Just want to get some advice, if I could connect to someone, with their experience in combining QUERY and Transaction.
I have the Transaction script only, how do you get around getting the workflows in short amount of time using QUERY? How do you connect the 2 scripts?
thanks
Lyle
