Automate

I need to call RFM EAN_GET_INTERNAL_NUMBER in order to set the EAN/UPC when a material is being created. However, that RFM is not available within Studio. Is there a way to add RFMs to the available list within Studio?

Hi Brian -

That FM is not available in Studio because it is not remotely-enabled.  So if you want it to be available for use in Studio you would need to remotely-enable it.  Other customers have typically made a copy of the non remotely-enabled FM they want to use so that it's a Z-RFM, and then remotely-enabled the Z-RFM.

Thank you, Jennifer. Once enabled, would the RFM automatically appear in the list of available RFMs within Studio? Or does something else need to be done for it to appear?

As long as a BAPI or FM is remotely-enabled, it will show up in Studio in a search.  If it's not remotely-enabled, it will never show up.  You won't need to do anything else to it for it to appear in a search.
