Our system is hopelessly mis/un-configured for this t-code. However I managed to get in and create a few things that got me to enter data in the header and grid, but not save.
I tried non-batch with controls and batch mode - no luck, as you found. You'll have to use GUI scripting to capture the grid fields, which does work.
You can also use a BAPI - I tried this one: FMKU_0050_CREATE It have a few fields hard-coded in the script - please review, but most are mapped. It won't post because our system isn't setup correctly, but it is awfully close. It's attached. You'll notice some of the header fields are on the line item. It's a much more "geeky" approach, but once you have it working correctly, it's way more efficient and much less error prone - all MHO, of course.
