    Hi Winshuttle Community,

    Our product team has exciting news for those looking for templates: our new collection of Winshuttle-official Excel templates is now available for all members directly here on Community.

    Here's some more information:

    WHAT IS IT?
    The Template Library is a dedicated area within Community that includes Excel templates to use with Winshuttle products and solutions. All Community members have access to this new Template Library and can check it out now and use the filters to find templates that relate to position/function, product, t-code and more.

    WHAT PRODUCTS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH THE TEMPLATES?
    Both Studio and Foundation customers can use the templates; however, Foundation customers will still need Studio in order to use and/or modify the templates (most templates will require modification with Foundation).

    WHY SHOULD I CHECK IT OUT?
    The template library is a value-add resource for you that is easy to use, free and can help save your organization time. By using the template library, you can download templates, search for new solutions, comment or ask questions on the templates or submit requests for new templates from Winshuttle.

    HOW DO I GET ACCESS THE TEMPLATE LIBRARY?
    You can access the new Template Library through this direct link or find it on the main homepage navigation under the 'Resources' tab.

    ANY OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION I SHOULD KNOW?
    These templates have been built and tested on SAP systems with the Winshuttle Function Module.

    Hi Lorea,

    Thank you for sharing this with the community however could I please request that the files are saved in 8.x - 10.x to overcome the issue for Transaction and query users that are still using 10.x.

    By saving the files as v11, anybody on older versions are unable to use the templates.

    The issue is outlined in the below KB site:

    Hi Adam,

    Thank you very much for your email. We appreciate your feedback and interest on our new template library. These templates were created using scripts made in v11 or v12 of Studio so since there are technical differences in Transaction and Query v10.x, those products won't work with these templates which require the later product version, so we suggest that you upgrade to a later version of Studio.

    Having said that, you can create 10.x scripts so that we can publish them and make them available for the customers in the same situation as you are. We intend to allow customers to upload and share their own templates that they have found useful for the benefit of other community members. These community user provided templates won't be directly supported by Winshuttle but they should be beneficial to the community.

    @Lorea Martínez Hi Lorea, ​does that mean we won't be able to use 10.7 scripts in v11 after upgrade? Do we have to rerecord all our existing scripts? I'm sorry if this has been asked before.

    Hey Younus,

    The scripts you have in v10.7 should still be usable in v11 after the upgrade, although we definitely recommend testing during your upgrade process.  Version 11 is backwards compatible, but version 10.x can't run scripts built in the later versions.
