Hi, to solve this problem I created a Studio Transaction using SAP GUI Scripting mode. I used a "copy from" material that was very similar to the new material I was creating. I recorded the exact same process that I use to create material manually, including all of the long text. We create PO text, Basic data text and Internal Comments. The script captured every data element that was changed. Using this script I can create as many materials as I like (about 5 seconds per material) provided they all share the same copy from material. If you don't have SAP GUI Scripting enabled in SAP I strongly suggest that you have it enabled. I hope this helps.

Ashraf, your initial post doesn't contain a lot of details to work with... you might want to share what version of the software you are using.... Transaction v10.x, Studio v11 or 12 (the software operates a bit differently when you go from v10.x to v11)?

I'm assuming you've done some digging and read thru this article:

    http://winshuttle-help.s3.amazonaws.com/studio/en/connect-sap/help/11/Record-long-text.htm

As the article states, one requirement for long text is to ensure you have the function module installed in your sap environment.

I ran into long text issues a while back, and I don't recall all the details, but it wound up being due to our SAP basis team not having certain settings set correctly (e.g. CATT and eCATT authorizations).  And sometimes they enable these settings in one or two non-prod environments, but in others (or not in the PROD environment).  I'm assuming you have the sap roles necessary (with the user login you are using to create the script) to actually access the PO text view and modify long text there.
