Hello - My organization is moving away from SharePoint very quickly, which is what we currently utilize to house our SharePoint system.  Can any of you let me know if your organization uses something else, like SharePoint Online or O365.  Please feel free to email me directly at sara.shower@target.com.  Thanks.

    Hi Sara,

Winshuttle has a few options available if you're moving away from SharePoint. We will have your account executive, Chris Clexton (chris.clexton@winshuttle.com), reach out to you with more details.

    Thank you,

To elaborate on Maria's response.  What I've seen regarding this topic is that every customer's needs and concerns are different on this topic so the best advice is always to start by contacting your Account Executive who can bring in the appropriate Winshuttle personal to discuss your specific needs.

Our company utilizes SharePoint online (O365) for most all of our activities, but our Winshuttle installation utilizes an on-prem SharePoint 2013 installation.  We considered moving to SharePoint 2016, but there were a couple concerns, one of them being that the solution provider we're working with did not have a lot of experience with SharePoint 2016, and the other being that SharePoint 2016 brings with it some licensing issues that we didn't want to deal with (I don't recall the exact details).  Obviously you have to have your own servers for on-prem SharePoint, and you get to deal with all the maintenance fun that goes with such hosting choices.

SharePoint 2013 has the Foundation version, which is free, no seat or server licenses required. Microsoft did not release an equivalent for 2016.
